Gasp Magazine 2001

There is an alarming rise in the numbers of young smokers when they enter their teenage years. This publication was developed for people in grades 8 and 9. Strong images and forceful text, outline the dangers of smoking, focussing on issues important to people this age such as health and appearance. Real people and their stories are used to speak to teens about the dangers of smoking.

Bold colours, vibrant type treatments, engaging illustrations and copy written to draw readers easily into the story have made this magazine extremely popular with its target audience - although parents are sometimes shocked at the graphic nature of the photographs.
