Client: The Land Conservancy of British Columbia
The Land Conservancy protects important habitat and wilderness areas by raising funds to purchase land at market rates from its owners. The Sooke Hills, overlooking Victoria, are a significant greenspace close to an urban centre, and an important habitat for mammals, birds, fish and plant species.
We decided to use incongruous headlines (e.g. Save this Highrise) asking people to save things related to crowding and high population that are not usually considered valuable. It was a way of attracting attention and also pointing out that the land is a very valuable and "crowded" home to thousands of plants and animals.
