Reduce Reuse Recycle

This is an environmental poster for Red River College focusing on the REUSE and RECYCLE aspects of the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" slogan.
I decided it would be playful as well as effective to use actual reused and recycled items. I constructed the actual pieces of clothing and modeled them for the photo. I designed a poster with the look of recent GAP clothing ads.
The tagline, "Make a Statement," is a play on the term "fashion statement," but in this case the statement is an environmental one. The concept is deepened by the irony of referencing a commercial, corporate logo for non-commercial purposes.
The strength behind the poster, however, is the visual metaphor contained in the photo.
