Since 1987, David Berman Developments Inc. has helped the industry manage time and resources more efficiently. The company was first to apply relational database power to the management of custom projects in an easily-customized off-the-shelf package.
A Brief History of TimeWise David Berman was
trained as a computer systems analyst at the University of
Waterloo and in the Canadian federal government before opening
his own graphics industry firm in 1984. While he strove to make
his operation more efficient, he found no off-the-shelf software
solution that fit. Every package available was too limited, too
rigid, too hard to understand, or too expensive. He needed
software that fit his needs, not the other way around. And so
TimeWise was born. Paul Gross, a software engineer with a
background in communications and advertising (and currently
programming chief), took on the formidable task of managing the
programming.
Soon David's firm was running more smoothly. As the program
matured, it became obvious that other organizations could profit
from using it: requests from clients and suppliers prompted
customization, new features, and then a separate company to be
spun off to concentrate specifically on the software line.
Since then, TimeWise has been refined and perfected
with the help of test sites and industry experts, adapted to
multiple platforms and applications, to the point where it is the
most sophisticated package of its type available today.
